Linux Systems Administrator

DropinAdmin is hiring a seasoned Linux Systems Administrator who is passionate about uptime, security, and systems performance. You will join a team focused on maintaining robust Linux environments across cloud and on-prem deployments.


What would you do at DropinAdmin?

As our Linux Systems Admin, you’ll own the server lifecycle — from provisioning and hardening to automation and monitoring. Your expertise will directly support our DevOps and cloud engineering efforts.


Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor production Linux servers (Ubuntu, RHEL, Debian)

  • Automate routine tasks using Ansible, Bash, and Python

  • Harden systems and enforce security best practices (firewalls, SELinux, patching)

  • Support LAMP stacks, cloud workloads, and containerized infrastructure

  • Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure incident response


Who we're looking for
  • 5+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration

  • Strong Bash scripting skills; bonus if you know Python or Perl

  • Experience with system performance tuning, clustering, and HA

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP)

  • Bonus: experience with blockchains or hybrid cloud environments
